Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School is scheduled for November 5, 2026 on Steam and PS5. At our November 3 check, the Steam full game was still marked coming soon. The free PC Demo is a separate Steam product that was already listed as released; downloading it does not mean you have the released full game.

The Steam platform flags describe those exact listings. They are not a Linux installation test, and the main game's flags do not extend the Demo to another platform. For the published Windows 10/11 difference, use the requirements comparison.
A release date is different from an unlock time
November 5 is the announced date. These sources do not establish an exact unlock hour or time zone. On November 3, a coming-soon label on the main Steam entry agreed with the future date; it was not evidence that the full game had already launched.
- Match the complete title, Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, rather than the first Escape Academy or Ape Escape Academy 2.
- Choose the Demo or full-game entry before checking requirements or access.
- At download time, read that product's current regional store status. If it still says coming soon, use the stated release information rather than assuming a midnight unlock.
A subscription announcement, a free Demo and ownership of the full game are separate access questions. Check the exact product and plan before relying on a subscription for your session.
Plan your group and progress separately
The PC Demo lists solo play, two-player local splitscreen and online co-op. The October 13 PS5 article also announces couch or online co-op across the full game's campus, story and puzzles. Use the solo and co-op guide to keep those product-specific statements and player limits separate from unconfirmed crossplay or guest access.
The developer welcomes newcomers whether or not they played the first game. Returning Demo players have a different question: the October update removed the Demo-end save wipe, while successful transfer into the full release remains untested here. Read the dated Demo save guidance before treating continued Demo progress as a completed migration.
Know which version you are starting
You have selected the exact Demo or full-game product, matched its platform and requirements, and distinguished the November 5 announcement from current download access. If the live store differs from this November 3 snapshot, use that product's current status; this guide does not claim a full-game installation or unlock test.
