Demo help
Windows 10 & Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School
The developer says Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School can be played on Windows 10, and the main-game listing currently names Windows 10/11. However, the separate Demo listing still names Windows 11. Check the exact AppID behind a requirements claim: those are different published listings, not a compatibility test performed by this guide.

Compare the actual products
| Listing checked November 3 | Published information |
|---|---|
| Main game, AppID3296060 | Windows 10/11 in minimum and recommended OS fields; Windows and Linux platform flags; full controller support category. |
| Demo, AppID4198180 | Windows 11 in the OS fields; Windows-only platform flag; partial controller support category. |
| Developer reply, October 27 | Directly answers a Windows 10 question by saying the game can be played on Windows 10. |
The Demo has its own entry and its own metadata. Do not combine the main game’s Linux/controller flags with the Demo’s requirements and call that one verified support specification.
Before making a compatibility decision
- Identify the installed product: the free Demo or the main-game entry.
- Read that exact product’s current requirements and the dated developer reply, keeping the differing Demo OS field visible.
- If you are reporting a launch or input problem, include your Windows version, AppID and installed build. A store field alone does not diagnose a runtime error.
- Use the developer’s support route for an unresolved conflict rather than assuming that an OS upgrade, save deletion or compatibility-mode setting is required.
No Windows 10 installation, Linux session, controller configuration or full-game build was tested here. The developer’s statement is useful published evidence, but it is not a guarantee for an individual PC.
Keep OS compatibility separate from frame rate
An OS listed as supported does not promise that a particular machine meets every CPU, graphics or memory requirement. Conversely, a dated low-FPS report is not proof that Windows 10 cannot launch the game.
For the October optimization update and how to compare a remaining performance issue, use the Demo performance checks. For party size or local/online modes, use the supported solo/co-op choices; neither page promises crossplay or a platform certification that the sources do not establish.
Know where the claim came from
You can identify the published Windows 10 confirmation and the separate Demo metadata caveat, then describe the exact product/build if your system behaves differently. That is a source comparison, not a claimed successful runtime test.

Windows 10 question, complete original Spanish OP and three replies read November 3; developer’s October 27 answer translated into English here. Public Steam store/API entries 3296060 and 4198180 supplied the exact OS/platform/controller fields. No unsupported metadata field is silently corrected to make the two listings agree.
