Rebind Crouch in Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School
Crouch can be rebound in Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School. The developer answered a request to change C to Left Ctrl with a screenshot of Rebind Mouse + Keyboard, showing the Crouch action assigned to Ctrl. Look for that action in the rebinding window rather than assuming that C is permanently fixed.

Find the action in the binding list
- Open Settings and the mouse-and-keyboard rebinding window.
- Scroll the action list until you find Crouch. The developer’s screenshot shows a scrollable list, so the first visible actions are not the whole set.
- Select its assignment and bind the key you want to use. Ctrl is shown in the developer’s example.
- Confirm with the window’s OK control, then return to a place where you can safely check the crouch action.
The image establishes the action, its configurable assignment and the confirmation control. It does not document every key-capture dialog, key-conflict warning or current default. Use the prompts in your installed copy if they differ.
Check the assignment before restoring all defaults
The shown window also has Restore Defaults. That is a different operation from changing one action. If your goal is only to move Crouch, start with that action and check the result; resetting the whole layout may discard other choices you made.
If crouching still uses the previous key, reopen the list and read the saved assignment. Record the build and input device if it fails to retain a change. A controller-jump report is not proof that keyboard crouch rebinding is unavailable.
What the screenshot does and does not verify
The image linked by Freezman on August 7 visibly identifies a development build, v1.0.20260619.002-dev. We inspected that actual image; we did not operate the current Demo’s settings menu. It supports the demonstrated control feature, not a claim that every later menu looks identical.
If the problem is a question-mark inventory prompt instead, use the Tab/default-binding explanation. If the movement bothering you is the camera travelling into an inspected object, use Disable Camera Transitions; rebinding Crouch serves a different task.
Confirm one changed action
The binding list shows your intended key for Crouch and gameplay responds to it. If one of those checks fails, you have a specific saved-binding or input problem to report rather than an assumption that the action cannot be changed.
